Bad Breath – A Sign of Gastrointestinal Disturbance

Still Single? Maybe it's your breath.Bad breath is a tricky condition. Many would assume that people who suffer from bad odor coming from their mouth are not brushing the teeth properly or at all. This could not be further away from the truth.

There are different causes for this condition and even the best oral hygiene solution in the world may not help you from eliminating bad breath. One such cause is gastrointestinal disturbances. This is one of those causes that is not easily surface.

Determine the Cause
Here are some steps to help you do that:

The first thing you need to do is consult a dentist. He will examine your mouth and can make a proper diagnosis as to the cause of your bad breath . Sometimes even when you have good oral hygiene, you may still suffer from bad mouth odors due to leftovers from your dinner last night.

Your dentist can make a proper assessment based on your lifestyle and diet. When the dentist is able to give you an all clear sign for your mouth, it is very likely that we are dealing with another problem that causes bad breath.

Gastrointestinal disturbance of some sort could be one possible cause. To determine that, you will need a specialist doctor to perform some tests and analysis on you. If indeed the cause is due to any gastrointestinal disturbances, bad breath will be least of your worries.

This is because internal problems can be quite dangerous for your general health and you need to take care of that first. Gastrointestinal disturbances could be a sign of something a lot more serious like ulcers or even cancer.

Hence when in doubt about the cause of your breath condition, it is always advisable for you to seek professional help.
