Bad Breath - Simple Tips and Advices to Help You Fight Bad Breath

Poop Germs- What's living on YOUR toothbrush? It is estimated that around 20%-30% of people suffer from bad breath. This figure is not surprising as there are so many causes for this condition. The good news is that, for most cases, there are many ways to properly fight it off. Here are some tips to aid you in your quest.

Simple Tips and Advices
First off, it is important to maintain a high level of oral hygiene when fighting bad breath. Merely brushing your teeth in the morning is not enough. You need to brush your teeth at least two to three times a day, preferably after every meal.

Flossing and using an alcohol free mouthwash is highly recommended and should be part of your oral hygiene routine. Flossing removes food particles stuck in between your teeth while mouthwash can help to kill the bacteria in your mouth. Most of times, our breaths smell because there is enough food for these bacteria to feed on and multiply. As these bacteria feed, they produce foul-smelling gases which make our breath stink.

While it is probably inconvenient for you to have your tooth brush with you the whole day, you should nevertheless maintain a basic level of oral hygiene by using other methods. For example, when dining out or grabbing a quick snack, you can pop in a mint and sugar free chewing gum. Chewing gum is great because it helps in removing eventual food leftovers from your mouth and helps in keeping your mouth moist. This is because your saliva glands are stimulated from the chewing process.

Another important aspect that you need to take care of is your diet. Most of us know that spicy food and certain foods can cause bad breath. These include garlic, onions and red hot chili peppers. Of course, the easiest way to eliminate the problem is not to consume such foods or at least to reduce the intake. If not, you will have to ensure that you have at least something to freshen your breath before you speak to someone. This can include a mint or breath spray.

Last but not least, you must drink a lot of water, especially after eating. By doing this you will help your body in removing food leftovers and you will keep your mouth moist. The easiest way to get bad breath is to have a dry mouth. This is because anaerobic bacteria in our mouths thrive in such an environment. One glass of water whenever needed will do wonders in your efforts to fight bad breath.

Concluding Thoughts
The above tips should be able to help you fight your bad breath. For long lasting fresh breath, you will need to seek the advice of your dentist. If possible, see your dentist at least twice a year. This will help ensure that your oral care is kept updated.

I never knew that my toothbrush had over 100 million germs on it. I'm not necessarily a germ freak, but when you read the articles and you hear about everything that is left on your toothbrush and them you're putting that toothbrush back in your mouth... People don't sanitize their toothbrushes because they don't know. After trying the Germ Terminator, people would say the same thing that I do, "Its easy, its convenient, why not use it after you know the research?" I think people should definitely sanitize their toothbrushes because of all the germs that just keep building and building up on your toothbrush. Using the Germ Terminator just makes sense.
